What's Up In The Garden? April '22

Things are growing quickly in this garden!

The okra has started sprouting this week.
The herb conatiner garden is looking luscious.
These are the Fizzy Rose Picotee cosmos from Baker Creek.
This is my first time trying to grow any asters. These are the salmon asters.
Tried and true zinnias.
This is a determinate variety of paste tomatoes called Cream Sausage. I purchased them from Baker Creek as well. Determinate tomatoes are supposed to be good candidates for container growing.
Hoping to have some success with these sugar baby bush watermelons.

I had basically given up on this raspberry bush. I was for sure that it was dead. The point of no return. I purchased another raspberry plant and decided I'd give this one, one more day before uprooting it and tossing it. Lo and behold I come out and I see little green stuff poking out from the crown.
It's been about a week since I first discovered that new growth. It's growing quickly and beautifully.
My tomato, beans, tomatillos, puma peppers, and different flowers are in this bed.
The first Korean Long paste tomato is growing. It's so cute!
The chickens hopped in to my bed this week and ate all the leaves off of my little puma pepper plant. I was pretty mad at them.

But, this little plant seems to be bouncing back and has new growth coming in.
The tomatillos have set a bunch of blossoms.
